Family Vacation
Wake up every morning to a stunning sunrise over the calm lake and the sound of the loon. Have your coffee at the lighthouse.
Poplar Point Camp is a very casual and relaxing camp with a friendly atmosphere and we try our best to make sure you and your family has a great time.
We are a small family-owned camp and due to the camp's size, we can give personalized attention to all our guests. Come to camp gets together to share some food, swap stories, play games and maybe even enjoy a few cocktails in Al's Garage.
Hop in your kayak or boat and explore our beautiful lake. Bring your ATV and explore the nearby trails or just sit, relax and enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds you. Family owned and operated for over 70 years.
Depending on the season activities include swimming, boating, fishing, getting a good sun tan, hiking, or just spending time with a good book by the beach. There is no WIFI or Cell at the lake, but you will find a better connection.
Hunting & Fishing
Located on Long Point Lake, Elk Lake, Ontario, our camp offers fishing for Walleye, Northern Pike and many remote lakes to fish - Lake Trout, Brook Trout, Smallmouth Bass, Perch and Whitefish.
For our Ice Fishing friends we have you covered with 2 nice warm cozy ice huts located on Long Point Lake. One is walking distance and one is a short snowmobile ride. Fish for Walleye and Pike
Poplar Point Camp has great Black Bear hunting for both rifle hunting and bowhunting and our bear management area has a high Black Bear population. Grouse Hunting is outstanding in the area as well.
Off-Road Trails
The Elk Lake area has so many well-maintained trails with beautiful views of lakes that go for hundreds of kilometers. There is an extensive trail system that we are more than happy to help you navigate so you won’t get lost.
The trail systems we have available are so diverse, from mud, climbs, rocks, sand, trees and so much more. You are guaranteed to experience a little bit of everything through some of Northern Ontario’s most amazing trails.
Once you are done exploring head on back to the camp to enjoy some of the benefits we have to offer!
